If you're a fan of the Andy Griffith Show, you may remember them frequently mentioning a neighboring town called "Mount Pilot." Well, there it is. It's actually called Pilot Mountain, and Andy Griffith grew up ten miles away.

but a friend of ours grew up here.

When people in North Carolina ask my dad what he misses most about Nebraska, he says "The Horizon." "The what?" they respond.
