Found a bad link? I'm not surprised. Most of this software is old, old, old. If you find a bad link and know of a good one, please let me know. Otherwise, I probably don't have time to fix all of these myself. If the link's broken, try Google or MacUpdate, but chances are the software is outdated and gone by now.

  • NoSTalgia -- Emulate an Atari ST, a machine I have never used before.
  • RockNES -- Bite me, iNES! This program lets you play Nintendo games on your Macintosh for free! It has freeze and defrost support and an intelligent rendering mode for smoother graphics.
  • SNES9X -- This new version finally fixes old bugs that kept games like Super Mario Kart, Metroid 3, and Donkey Kong Country from working properly. Now they work perfectly! Download and enjoy!
  • SixtyForce -- A Nintendo 64 emulator for the Macintosh that is actually playable! Unfortunately, you'll have to hunt pretty hard for commercial Nintendo 64 games.
  • SMS+/MacOS -- This strangely-named emulator can run Game Gear and Sega Master System video games on your Macintosh.
  • SNES9X -- Turn your Mac into a Super Nintendo! This new release fixes many longt-standing bugs and now plays most games at full speed with no glitches and flawless sound!
  • TGEmu Carbonized -- An emulator for the NEC PC Engine video game system. I think in North America this was called "Neo Geo".
  • vMac -- Use Macintosh software that is too old for your new G4! The newest version now supports sound, but it sound choppy with virtual memory on.
